The Problem

Water associations (Asadas) in Costa Rica were managing operations manually with paper-based systems, leading to inefficiencies, lack of centralized data, and poor transparency for community members. There was no digital tool for residents to access information or make payments online.

The Solution

Developed MOGEAS, a comprehensive fullstack web platform that digitizes all association operations. The system includes an admin dashboard for managing members, services, billing, and reports, plus a resident portal for viewing account information and making payments. Built with React for dynamic UI, Node.js/Express for robust API, and MySQL for reliable data management.

Key Features

  • User authentication and role-based access control with JWT
  • Real-time member management and service tracking
  • Automated billing and payment processing
  • Administrative dashboard with analytics
  • Resident self-service portal
  • Mobile-responsive design for accessibility
  • Comprehensive reporting system
